Location: Lagos (with travel to Abuja, Port Harcourt)

PURPOSE

Lead the JR Academy as a profit centre, driving revenue growth through professional training and certification programmes. Build JR Academy’s reputation as the premier training provider for Nigeria’s oil & gas and professional services sectors through strategic partnerships with PMI, CIP, COREN, CMD, and other professional bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•          Own the P&L for JR Academy training business

•          Develop and execute the annual business plan with clear revenue and margin targets

•          Work closely with Group BD Head to build training pipeline and win major contracts

•          Oversee delivery of all training programmes including NCDMB, PMI, CIP, technical, and soft skills

•          Maintain and grow PMI Premier ATP status and CIP (Chartered Institute of Procurement) partnership

•          Secure and maintain COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) accreditation

•          Develop partnership with CMD (Centre for Management Development) and other relevant professional bodies

•          Manage relationships with key clients including IOCs, indigenous E&Ps, and government agencies

•          Build and manage the facilitator pool (contract trainers and SMEs)

•          Ensure quality standards and participant satisfaction across all programmes

•          Coordinate with Recruitment & Outsourcing team on graduate placement opportunities

•          Develop new training products and service lines based on market demand and professional body requirements

•          Manage the Academy team including Training Delivery Manager and Programme Coordinator

 

REQUIREMENTS

•          Minimum 10 years experience in training, L&D, or professional services

•          Proven P&L management experience with track record of growing revenue

•          Deep knowledge of Nigeria’s oil & gas sector training needs

•          Strong network among HR/L&D leaders in target client organisations

•          PMI certification (PMP) strongly preferred; MCIPS or engineering qualifications an advantage

•          Experience with NCDMB programmes and local content requirements

•          Experience managing relationships with professional/accreditation bodies

•          Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant Master’s preferred

•          Excellent presentation, facilitation, and client relationship skills

•          Commercial mindset with ability to price and sell training solutions
